Indicator: 100-year river flood (flooded area in percentage of NUTS3 area)

The flood hazard indicator shows the percentage of flooded land area per NUTS 3 for riverine floods. The indicator is based on the Joint Research Center (JRC) flood hazard map for Europe – 100-year return period. The JRC flood hazard maps are based on the Lisflood hydrological model (Van Der Knijff et al., 2010).
