Car travel times (in min) and distances (in km) between NUTS entities for NUTS levels 0, 1, 2 and 3, for both NUTS 2016 and 2021 versions. Each NUTS entity was represented by its centroid, which then served as origin and destination of the trip.
Individual matrices were generated for each NUTS level and NUTS version, i.e. altogether 8 different matrices.
Because of the large size of the matrices (particularly for NUTS levels 2 and 3), the matrices are provided as compressed (zipped) text files, where each row in the file represents one o/d-relation. The first row, however, is the header. Indicators are separated by commas. Altogether, there are eight files. the name of the files is
"O/D-MatrixYYYYnZ" where YYYY is 2016 or 2021, respectively, indicating the NUTS 2016 or 2021 classification, and Z is 0, 1, 2, or 3, representing the NUTS level.
