Indicator: Green infrastructure - multifunctionality

The indicator shows the multifunctionality of green infrastructure within each region at NUTS 2/3 level in Europe. Multifunctionality is displayed in six categories representing the number of ecosystem services that provide substantial added value and contributes to the objectives of a single or multiple policies. It increases from a single policy benefiting from a single ecosystem service to three policies each benefiting from three ecosystem services, as follows: “1”=Monofunctional GI supporting a single policy; “2”=Bifunctional supporting a single policy”; “3”= Multifunctional supporting a single policy; “4”= Monofunctional supporting multiple policies; “5”= Bifunctional supporting multiple policies; “6”= Multifunctional supporting multiple policies. When no data is available for a NUTS region, “No data” is displayed.
