Indicator: Maritime passenger regional typologies

The regional typologies for each passenger transport mode are defined by grouping and then applying a K-means model. Such a model uses a predetermined number of clusters. Based on a plausibility check, the number of clusters was set to three for air passenger transport and for maritime passenger transport and set to five for rail passenger transport.
Maritime passengers
The cluster analysis for maritime passenger transport used the six indicators as done for the other modes. Because of the lower number of regions for maritime transport compared to land transport modes, regions were grouped into three clusters only.
