Methodology

Typology calculated by means of a cluster analysis (Ward method) with subsequent discriminant analysis using data on the regional industry structure provided by EUROSTAT: Share of the labour force employed in industry and construction; share of the labour force employed in retail, catering, gastronomy, transport and maintenance; share of the labour force employed in the public service sector and share of the labour force employed in the "modern" service sector (information and communication, financial services, insurance, real estate, research and development)
