Methodology
The index has been computed as a the arithmetic mean of the combined onshore wind, photo voltaic and biomass energy potentials (TOE per square kilometre per year) at NUTS 2 level generated in the GREECO project (2013), and the Percentage of Natura 2000 area by NUTS 2 region (2009) produced by the INBALUD project based on EEA data. PHYS values have been normalised from 0,5 to 1,5 for representation purposes
