The MapKits respect the visual chart and layout elements of the ESPON 2020 European Wide Mapkit, covering EU 28+4, Western Balkans and Turkey. Remote territories and microstates are displayed in real DataFrames.
Each Mapkit contains the four levels of NUTS (0, 1, 2, 3) for the corresponding NUTS version (2003, 2006, 2010, 2013 and 2016).
NUTS geometries are based on the aggregation of simplified delineation of European local administrative units (LAUs), ensuring an appropriate degree of generalisation.
All mapping layers are copyright free, licensed under Creative Commons (CC BY-SA University of Geneva).
