At its meeting of 11-12 June 2012 the ESPON Monitoring Committee decided on a first selection of territorial indicators. These indicators will be tested by the European Territorial Monitoring System project (ETMS). At the same time, all other ESPON projects dealing with indicators to measure territorial cohesion are asked to consider these indicators as a first step (see Annex 1 of the attached working paper). Your experiences in using these indicators, but also your argumentation to prefer other indicators over the ones now selected, will be valuable input for the annual review of this first selection.
