Coasts are major sites for electric production from wind. Electric production potentials from wind is however unevenly distributed along European coastline. It is further exacerbated by uneven investment in power plant projects. The North Sea and the British and France Atlantic coast concentrate more than half of all coastal wind based energy production.
This indicator groups the electricity production capacity for wind farms by coastal sector and by country.
