Case study 2 conducted analytical experiments with European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) data. The key objectives of these experiments were to analyse interactions between regions in terms of project partnerships with regards to volume and distribution, and to evaluate the usefulness of this dataset for informing policy-making concerning European growth corridors. Another motivation was to produce insights into whether and to what extent the Northern Growth Zone (NGZ) is characterised by project-based networking across regions.
