This element combines the previous classification of sparsely populated areas generated by the ESPON GEOSPECS project with indicators pf population potential for the years 2001 and 2011, generated in ESPON BRIDGES, with updated population potentials for 2017 calculated in ESPON BRIDGES OUTREACH. This grid dataset allows to identify areas at risk of becoming sparsely populated for the time period 2011-2011, 2001-2017 and 2011-2017. It updates an earlier grid dataset for the year. 2011
