This data set contains information on the number of enterprises by four different size classes (one person-, micro-, small and medium- and large enterprises) per 1,000 inhabitants, enterprise births and deaths as well as the net enterprise development per region. Furthermore the data comprises information on how the share of SME employment differs from the EU average and whether the share of regional employment in a particular sector is above, below or about the EU average. In the project a typology of regions displaying different development conditions was also developed.
