The four resulting groups are defined as follows:

A. Net sender regions. with a lower flow of outgoing workers, and a low number of origin/destination regions (lower connectivity). Peripheral.
B. Net receiver regions. with a high volume of incoming workers
C. Net sender regions. with a high volume of outgoing workers, with a high number of origin regions. Central regions.
D. Regions are highly integrated. Mainly NUTS 2 regions in the UK and bordering inner London (included)
