EXTERNAL INFLUENCE measures the importance of an origin region from the perspective of the corresponding top origin region, respectively. Even though a region may be dependent on a single origin, this may not hold from the perspective of the corresponding origin region, respectively. If this is the case, the influence of a region on its corresponding top origin region is, rather, limited.
