Delineated inner peripheries at grid level in Europe, based upon poor access to shops (supermarkets or convenient stores), stored as a polygon shapefile.
Two shapefiles are provided, one representing the IPs for 2016, the other one representing the IPs for 2021.
Grid cells with a standardized car travel time of > 150 to the next shops (supermarket or convenient store) have been identified as inner peripheries. Neighbouring grid cells have been merged to form a single IP area; boundaries of these areas have been smoothed.
