How to deliver my data

One of the objectives of the ESPON 2020 Database is to provide an easy access to data from ESPON 2020 activities.

These data should be policy-relevant, non-redundant and reliable and cover the wide spectrum of results which were produced by ESPON projects. In order to do so, data must be carefully selected and tied with precise metadata. The ESPON 2020

Database project builds upon the data collection strategy (and concepts) defined by the ESPON M4D project which developed the ESPON 2013 Database. However, it adapted this strategy to avoid certain constraints and allow for a better traceability of data.

Preliminary note to the reviewers

This manual provides indications to ESPON Projects on how to deliver data at the end of their project. In order not to duplicate information, green textboxes (such as this one) have been added to highlight actions or issues related to the role of the reviewer. These textboxes are not part of the standard user manual and are there to support your work as reviewers.

This document is part of the “reviewer toolbox” which may be downloaded from the ESPON 2020 Database Documentation website. The toolbox contains links, templates and other information that may be useful for the reviewers
